How to Do a Year in Review Post That Gets Engagement
December is the time when year in review posts start popping up everywhere. Some are great and some are.. not so great. If you are going to do one for your birth center, let’s make it one people actually want to read and share. A good year in review can make your audience smile, feel connected to you, and even spark interest from someone who is thinking about becoming a client next year.
The secret is to tell a story instead of just listing numbers. Sure, you can include how many babies were born or how many classes you hosted, but do not stop there. Share the little moments that made this year special. Maybe your team learned a new skill, maybe you partnered with another local business for an event, or maybe you just had a funny behind the scenes moment that made you laugh for days. People remember feelings, not stats, so give them something that makes them feel part of your world.
Photos are your best friend here. Include ones that really show who you are and what your year looked like. A smiling staff photo, a candid from your team at work, or a snapshot of a community event can instantly make your post more personal.
One of my favorite ways to make a year in review more interactive is to get your audience involved. Ask them to share their favorite memory from your birth center in the comments. Invite them to tag you in photos from the year that they want to look back on. The more conversation your post starts, the more people will see it.
And whatever you do, end it with a heartfelt thank you. Tell your clients and community how much they mean to you. Gratitude is the perfect way to wrap up the year and set the tone for the next one.
Your year in review is more than just a recap. It is a chance to remind people who you are and why you love what you do.
What is one moment from this year that you cannot stop smiling about?
